The V550 system completes the bar loading operation with a
roller conveyor and an optional drag-chain cross transport. The
cross transport can be used as a buffer zone for stock lengths.
The material is traversed onto the roller conveyor one bar at a
time. The positioning system accurately positions the material on
the system by using a pneumatic gripper and a material detector.
The punch tools have an extended life as a result of the rigid
bridge frame and punch lubrication. A hydraulic
clamping/stripping unit, mounted on the punch, controls distortion
of the material during the punching operation. To piece mark
each part, the punching and shearing system incorporates a
single or four disc alpha-numeric hydraulically operated marking
unit.

optional angle shear for length cutting operations. The shears
have an integral hydraulic clamping/hold down unit which
prevents the tilting of the material during the shearing
operation resulting in high quality cuts. The flat bar shear has
the capability to miter up to 45 degrees in either direction.
Punching of holes in angle is possible with the addition of the
optional punch.
